Quality, Engineering & Honest Service on the Emerald Coast

Welcome to Fort Walton Beach's trusted transmission specialists. Owner Chad Westfall took the wheel just over a year ago, but the shop's roots in this community run deep — and so does the experience of the team behind every repair.

We don't see ourselves as just a transmission shop. We're rethinking how automotive repair should work — better for our customers and better for the people who do the work.

Meet the Owner: Passion Meets Engineering

Owner Chad Westfall has spent his entire life around vehicles. He started out as a Ford Certified Technician, learning domestic drivetrains from the inside out — one rebuild at a time. That hands-on foundation eventually took him to Kelley Blue Book, where he helped shape the valuation data the industry leans on for domestic cars, trucks, and SUVs.

From there, Chad earned a degree in mechanical engineering and went on to develop advanced products in the defense sector. But the pull of the automotive world never let go. When the chance came to purchase this Fort Walton Beach transmission shop, he took it — determined to bring engineering-grade discipline and a fresh, customer-first mindset to drivetrain repair on the Emerald Coast.

Unmatched Expertise & a Collaborative Shop Floor

A shop lives and dies by the people turning the wrenches, and ours is stacked with seasoned local talent:

Why Hourly Pay Matters to You

Flat-rate pay quietly works against you. When a technician only gets paid once the job is "done," there's constant pressure to rush. Our techs are paid hourly, so their attention stays where it belongs — on getting your repair right the first time.

It changes the whole atmosphere of the shop, too. When one tech needs a second opinion or an extra set of hands on your vehicle, another jumps in without hesitation — helping out costs them nothing, so collaboration is simply how we work.

Salaried Service Advisors: No High-Pressure Sales

That same honesty carries into the front office. Our service and sales managers are salaried — not paid on commission. They have no quota to chase and no reason to talk you into parts you don't need. Their job is simply to give you accurate information, clear options, and straight advice so you can make the right call for your vehicle and your wallet.

Data-Driven Decisions: Free Basic Checkouts

As an engineer, Chad lives by a simple principle: good decisions start with good data. You shouldn't have to pay just to learn what's wrong with your vehicle.

So we don't charge for our basic vehicle checkouts. That initial inspection is how we pinpoint the problem for the vast majority of vehicles that roll through our doors. Once we know exactly what's happening — and not a moment before — we build a precise repair plan and walk you through the pricing.

Transparency note: On occasion, a vehicle has a unique or complex electrical issue that takes hours of advanced diagnostics to isolate. If that's the case, we'll tell you upfront and only bill for advanced diagnostic time after you've reviewed and approved the hours. No surprises.

You're a Partner, Not a Dollar Sign

We're here to make a real difference on the Emerald Coast. You're not a transaction to us — you're a long-term partner, and we treat our partners accordingly. In fact, roughly 40% of the customers who come in leave without paying a cent.*

*Whatever the situation, you can trust that we'll always do right by you.

Investing in Emerald Coast Youth & Community

Giving back to the community is a core part of who we are, and for Chad and Nicole that mission plays out on the local sports fields. We believe youth sports are one of the best ways to keep kids active, healthy, and off their screens — while building social skills and lasting confidence.

Chad has coached soccer here since 2014, after first getting his start coaching back in Arizona earlier in life. He's led recreational squads and academy programs alike, and together he and Nicole put together competitive small-sided rosters for local 3v3 and 5v5 tournaments — picking up several championship and runner-up finishes along the way.

With Nicole bringing more than a decade of her own experience coaching and managing youth sports, their commitment to the next generation runs deep. Beyond their time on the field, our shop is proud to sponsor additional local youth teams so more Emerald Coast athletes have the chance to grow, learn, and succeed.

Experience the Difference

Decades of hands-on mechanical experience, engineering-grade precision, and a culture that genuinely puts people first — that's the combination behind every repair we deliver. It's a standard we work to earn on the Emerald Coast every single day.
